The Open Singles saw Dane Szatkowski run through a very strong field and emerge as the winner prior to adding a “slam” in the Open Doubles with his brother Frank. The singles semi-final match found him squared off against reigning pro Danny Bell from Montreal. Bell who had his way in their first game 21-17    found a much more determined opponent in game two as Dane found his shooting touch and swiftly pulled away 21-2 and continued to maintain his momentum throughout the tie breaker winning 11- 2. Dane continued his run in the finals defeating Tony Krocak, 11-0 in the third game.

In the Doubles finals the Szatkowski’s faced young Suhn Lee and Jon Iglesias who had upset the #1 seeded team, Bill Mehilos and Shane Conneely, in the semi’s. Brother Frank got red hot in game one and they cruised to a 21-10 win. However in game two the young collegians found their own formula for  success matching the first game score of 21-10. But in the tie breaker it was all Szatkowski’s as they got off to a sizeable lead and never looked back winning 11-2.

Other championship winning IHA members were Eli Seaman-  50 Singles, Tom Gack-60 Singles, Sean Conneely/Kevin Jarvis 50-Doubles and Joey Urbani in B Singles Consolation.
