72 players participated in the 39th annual Peoria Fall Classic. Bill Mehilos defended his title in the Pro/Open division by beating Kevin Pettus from St. Louis in a great final match on Sunday. The Pro/Open division had 16 players. Mehilos defeated Eric Hillgren in one semi-final while Pettus defeated Dave Munson in the other. Listed below are the results.

Peoria Player Jamie Rodriguez defeated Adam Loomis in a thrilling three game match (12),12,4. There were 10 players in the B division. Rodriguez defeated Joe Flores in one semi while Loomis defeated Randy Moll by injury default in the other. Luke Jenkins won the consolations.
B/C singles
The C Singles and 40 B’s were combined. Bob Hickok defeated Bob Hammond 9,18. 8 Players played in this combined event with the old guys knocking off the young guys in the first round. Jim London won the consolations.
50+ Singles
Gene Pettus defeated defending champion Bob Millikin 17, 14. Millikin had beat Dave Robb in one semi while Pettus defeated John Armstrong in the other. Tom Liebetrau won the consolations.

60+ Singles
Bob Hammond won by injury default over Ron Gronemeyer. Hammond def. Jim Elsener (15),11, 7 in one semi while Gronemeyer def. Terry Comina in the other 15,(18), 3.Comina then came back and won the consolation final.
Women’s Open
Carly Stickles defeated Mary Masalskis. Stickles had def. Katie Mackoul in one semi while Masalskis def. Lindsay Ross in the other. Mackoul won the consolation.
93+ Doubles
Mark McCabe/ Eric Schmidt def. Mark Kohnle and Dave Schafer 1, 12. Kohnle/Schafer def. Tom Herbst and Steve Reliford in one semi while McCabe/Schmidt def. the Rodriguez brothers in the other.
60+ Doubles
The team of Don Ardito and Don Henson beat the other 3 teams of Ron Gronemeyer/John Caby, Jerry Mauren/Larry Gutz and Rich Aubuchon/Dick Stanfield in this round robin event. It was good to see Ardito in Peoria again.
B/C Doubles
The team of Adam Loomis and Luke Jenkins beat the other 3 teams of Derrel Jones/Bill Fitzpatrick, Ira and Matt Pritzker, Tom Doering/ Brian Sides.
Open Doubles
On Friday old men Steve Matheny and Vance McInnis def. Nikolai Nahorniak and Jake Kaiser 20, 20. With Mike Munson’s injury his brother had to find a new partner and was able to upgrade to Kevin Pettus. In the semi’s Pettus and Munson beat up the old men 6, 11. On the top part of the bracket Bill Mehilos and Mark O’Leary defeated Jamie Simon and Oscar Zamora (20),8, 3. In the final Munson/Pettus defeated the defending champions of Mehilos/O’Leary 4, 6.
