Men's State Singles 2011
Jan. 2011 -- Two of Don Quinlan’s protégés, Nikolai Nahorniak and Suhn Lee, advanced to the finals, a rematch of their Open Collegiate championship which went to Nahorniak. Although their first game was close, 21-19 Lee, the second did not provide the fireworks seen in the opining game as Suhn claimed his first state championship with a quality 21-10 win.

Victor Perez breezed through the A division without losing a game, beating Ron Rose in the finals 21-14, 21-8. It was much the same for Dan Sterrett in the B Division with a convincing win over a tired Dan Valera 21-4, 21-1. Maria Dugas was s surprise winter in the C Finals overwhelming Evan Woodington in the finals 21-1, 21-2.
The wizened veteran, Tim Sterrett, captured the 40+ bracket in a hard-fought championship match with Chris Roberts 10-21, 21-6, 11-8. The 40 B’s was won by Joe Ardito over James Cooke 21-14, 21-14. And in the 60+ division, Bob Anderson wrestled the title away from the previous champion Tom Gack in an exciting 18-21, 21-10, 11-8 win.
